In late October every year, seen here in 2002, in the field opposite the entrance to the Greyhound Barns this trailer always appears, sited at the best place to be visible in the main road through the village.

The firework party is organised on the Saturday nearest November 5th with the proceeds going to village causes. "Bonfire Night" celebrates the defeat of the "Gunpowder Plot" of 1605, which aimed to blow up parliament.
