In 2002, as part of the Queens Golden Jubilee celebrations residents of the village organised a picnic and barbecue in an area of Abbey Farm known to locals as the Water Cress beds.

To capture the appropriate atmosphere, here our vicar downs the last of his wine while the ladies search for a fox trot to play on the wind-up gramophone.

In the background some of the younger villagers dare each other to hang from a cable and slide across the water of the watercress beds themselves!
