These are the only numbered houses in the village. They are numbers one, two and three Common Lane. They stand just before the chapel, beside which is the cattle grid at the entrance to the common itself!

The brickwork, which closely matches that of the chapel next door, suggests that they were built at the same time, in the 1880s.

The record of when this picture was taken is lost, but probably it was certainly not later than August 2003, and probably within two months of that date.
