From the edge of Kettle Hill Covert north-east of the village the bulk of the village is spread out before you.

On the left, is the garage and long sloping roof of the rear of the Greyhound, half hidden behind substantial fir trees.

In the foreground in the centre are the converted Greyhound Barns. These created the first new homes to be built in the village in fifty years. Beyond the barns, the roof with three chimneys is that of Abbey Farm. Beyond that again is St Mary's Church.

Further to the right, looking misleadingly close in the picture, are the modern barns of Abbey Farm.

This picture, taken on St George's Day 2004, shows the tower before the renovation work started the following month.
