This site started with a handful of photographs of Village Buildings. Now there are pictures of the Countryside around the village, including its wildlife, and a collection taken at various Village Events. There's also a section supporting the effort to better control the Traffic Dangers that exist in the village.

As well as the photographs, there's a History section that quotes various writings about the village. These include memories mentioned in e-mails from those who have left the village.

The Most recently introduced section is that on Families. If you have come to the site hoping to find out about your ancestors, then this is the section for you. Please do offer contributions, through the Feedback Form, to this section, so it can be of use to others who visit after you.

The Feedback Form is also the place to go to make contact about providing further photographs for the site.

Regular users may wish to bookmark the What's New page, where a summary of all changes to the site are recorded.

Note on the spelling of Westacre

Although maps of the area show the village of "West Acre" as two words, the owners of the estate have always referred to it as "Westacre", as did the Revd. A.R. Vaughan Daubeney is his books on the churches of Gayton Thorpe and East Walton. Accordingly, all references to the estate and the village on this site use the single word form.
