Brenda Pritchard, of Ottawa, Canada, has written on a number of occasions. Pulling the detail out, it seems that her Great Great Grandfather was named James Lawson and was born in Great Massingham in 1821. She believes he died in East Walton in 1871. His wife, Maria Lawson (her married name), was born in East Walton circa 1820.
James and Maria's granddaughter, Emma Lawson, was born in Marham circa 1864.
Brenda Prichard's grandfather was a "Home Child" who went to Canada at the age of 11 in 1893. Brenda says he did not talk very much about his life in England. In fact, it has only been since she started to do some research into their family history (in 2002) that she found out that he was born in Leyton.
